Does God Have Discipline?

Discipline is not an easy topic to write about.  To me, a blog topic should be something you know about.  That you are familiar with and have experience.  If I am honest, discipline is not that topic for me.  I don't have much and never did.  I have enough discipline in my life to keep me out of trouble.  This discipline was learned the hard way.  I didn't always need to taste the belt to know where the line was.  Anyone that was raised by a parent that hit them with a belt knows what I am talking about but I learned from others how far not to go.  That is where my discipline border line lies.  Most people are able to have discipline for other reasons like health, goals, incentives...not me.  My discipline comes from fear.  How do I learn other ways to become discipline.  Does God have discipline?  And if so, did he have to work for it, or did he create himself with discipline?  He certainly likes to discipline his kids... Hmmm...

2025 Update - this was in my drafts since 2018 so I decided too just hit publish. Then I read it and I wanted to add this update to clarify, I have no idea what I meant by “Does God Have Discipline” and where I was going with that idea. Without context or a completed thought, this sounds like a dumb idea. Sometimes I write the premise to a joke in my notes and its the same situation.
